You will learn the uses of color gels, soft boxes, and lighting techniques for the fashion beginner. Following lighting instruction is a tutorial on how to generate the magazine quality shot using Photoshop from your home computer.
This course will be broken down into two days:
Class 1:
You will go over any basic understandings of studio lighting with the instructor. This includes metering, and basic lighting controls. Then the instructor will cover several different lighting setups that work well in fashion photography using color gels, soft-boxes, and grids. We will also go outside if the weather is nice.
Class 2:
The instructor will demonstrate how to use Photoshop in order to generate smooth, clean fashion images that pop. By the end of this session, you will know how to smooth out skin tones, remove blemishes and other unwanted imperfections, and to achieve soft gradients with rich colors. The class will cover the use of layer masks and opacities of masks in order to create the ultimate fashion photograph.
